My name is Jim Campbell, and I am proud to offer my experience, dedication, and leadership to serve as the next Mayor of Fundy Albert.
Born and raised in Riverside-Albert, I attended Riverside Consolidated School before heading to Moncton for work. My early career included roles in grocery stores and sales before settling into the trucking industry, where I gained extensive experience in transportation and logistics. Over the years, I worked for construction companies and later joined Hub Meat Packers, where I advanced to Director of Transportation and Distribution, overseeing operations for 17 years.
My career then led me to International Truck and Engine Corporation as a Technical Service Manager for Atlantic Canada and Eastern Ontario, followed by a role as General Manager at East Coast International until my retirement. Even after retiring, I remained active in the workforce, consulting for transportation companies and dedicating the past six years to the Cape Enrage Interpretive Centre—two years as an interpretive guide and four years as Manager.
If elected as Mayor, I will dedicate myself full-time to this role. Having served as both Councillor and Mayor of Riverside-Albert, I bring firsthand experience in municipal governance. During my tenure as Mayor, our council worked together to achieve significant progress, including major water infrastructure projects. One of our key accomplishments was partnering with the Nature Conservancy of Canada to secure ownership of the land where our reservoir sits, ensuring its long-term sustainability after a century-long lease expired. We also completed major renovations to the Recreation Centre and took on other critical community projects.

Beyond municipal leadership, I have served on the Southeast Regional Service Commission, contributing to committees focused on planning, tourism, and economic development. I also served as Vice Chairman for one term before regionalization.
My deep-rooted connection to Albert County extends beyond governance. My wife, Audrey, and I have spent our entire married life in Albert County—starting in Riverview, moving to Lower Coverdale for 17 years, and ultimately returning home to Riverside-Albert. We have one son, two daughters, eight grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren, and we are deeply invested in the future of our community.
Throughout my career, I have remained actively involved in industry and community service. I have served on the Board of Directors of the Atlantic Provinces Trucking Association, chaired various committees, and was honored with the Service to Industry Award in 2012. Audrey and I have also been dedicated volunteers for many organizations, including Brownies, Cub Scouts, and the 101 Air Cadet Squadron, where I served as Chair of the Sponsoring Body. Our 12 years of volunteer service were recognized with a special plaque from the 101 Squadron.
Community development has always been a passion of mine. I am a founding member and past Chair of the Chipoudy Community Revitalization Committee and the first President of the Albert County Trail Blazers. My dedication to service was recognized with the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal.
As Mayor, I will focus on uniting our council and residents to move Fundy Albert forward as one strong community. Some of the key priorities I will work on include:
My extensive experience in municipal government, my ability to work with both provincial and federal levels, and my commitment to our region make me an ideal candidate to serve as your Mayor.
Fundy Albert is a special place, and I am ready to work alongside you to ensure our communities thrive. I humbly ask for your support on April 14th.

- Supporting Tourism & Local Economy: Working with local businesses, tourism operators, and organizations to promote Fundy Albert as a destination while strengthening our economy and creating opportunities for residents.
