Have you ever dreamed of opening a business or social enterprise that not only serves your neighbours but also helps preserve the rich history of our community? The Chipoudy Communities Revitalization Committee (CCRC) is inviting just such a dream to take root, right in the heart of Riverside-Albert.
The Old Bank, a beloved local landmark originally saved by Mary Majka, has stood as a symbol of resilience and heritage. Now, it’s ready for a new chapter and we’re looking for the right person or group to write it.
What We’re Looking For
We’re not just looking for any business. We’re looking for a vision that:
Respects the historic charm of the Old Bank and shares its story.
Serves local residents first—think local crafts, fresh food, evening events, or services we need year-round.
Connects with the outdoors and celebrates what makes Fundy Albert special - our trails, tides, birds, and creative spirit.
Promotes safety, sustainability, and accessibility, making the corner a lively and welcoming space for all. Your proposal might include ideas for a café, co-working space, outfitter hub, gallery, artisan market, or something entirely new. If it creates local employment, strengthens our economy, and welcomes both residents and visitors, we want to hear it.
Let’s Reimagine the Corner Together
This is more than a business opportunity—it’s a community partnership. A chance to create a gathering place that reflects our shared values and dreams for the future.
The deadline to submit your proposal is September 10, 2025. To learn more, download the criteria for and RFP or contact William MacCallum at [email protected]. Together, let’s make the Old Bank a place of new beginnings.
