On Friday, March 28, the Curryville Community Outreach Centre will host a night of musical adventures! The talents of four of Albert County’s own will merge on stage for an evening of entertainment and exciting music.
We invite you to come and hear what Ian Duncan (lupin), Sara Liptay, Tim Isaac and James Nelson have been cooking up this winter!
lupin is an exciting musical project that’s the brain child of a local but widely celebrated musician Ian Duncan. He explores the soundscape possibilities of traditional celtic instruments in non-traditional and highly original arrangements. Scottish smallpipes, whistles, and guitar are looped live to create engaging pieces, giving fresh twists to timeless music from decades and centuries past.

He’s been a divergent fixture here for over 30 years, known for his enduring musical partnership with Jim Blewett. Yet he continues to create and find inspiration in the rugged beauty of this place and the people who live here.
This show is a rare opportunity to hear Tim dive deep into the sonic possibilities of his cello. Enjoy the ride as he improvises and evokes sounds reflecting the ocean, the elements , and performs songs fuelled by life, love, and his emotional connection to this place.
Sharing the stage with both Ian and Tim, are Sara Liptay and James Nelson. With a passion for all things high speed and Celtic, Sara is a tour de force in the Atlantic Canadian world of strings. She’s a fixture in the popular candlelight concert series throughout the province, a long-time member of Symphony New Brunswick , co-founder of Sistema NB and has shared many a stage playing with the likes of Michael Bublé, Stephen Page, Jeremy Dutcher, and David Myles. She holds a Master’s degree in Violin Performance.
James, a talented up-and-coming multi-instrumentalist will be rounding out the line up. He’s part of the local duo ‘Sara and James’ and already at a young age is an ambassador of traditional music travelling from NB to international stages. In 2024, James travelled to Scotland to play at the HebCelt festival, Tennessee performing at Dollywood, and Whitehorse competing in the Canadian Grand Masters Fiddle Championship.
Ticket prices and show time will be announced on social media in due course.
