The project honours the province’s rich cultural and craft heritage by celebrating quilting as a long-standing tradition of creativity, cooperation, and resilience in rural New Brunswick. Exhibits of heritage quilts, storytelling, and public displays such as the Barn Quilt Trail, recognize the generations of quilters who contributed to community life and local identity. By linking past and present practices, “50 Golden Years of Quilting” both preserves and renews an important part of New Brunswick’s artistic and social history.
