Volunteers are the heart of Fundy Albert and fill gaps where formal services or activities are lacking. Our volunteers have a direct impact on the quality of life of our community. They ensure local traditions are passed down, stories shared, and a sense of place established.
We all engage in volunteerism, whether we realize it or not. It's helping a neighbour by shoveling a driveway, dropping off groceries to a senior, or offering a drive to an appointment. It can also be partnering with an organization, committee, or church group on an identified community need.
Finding the right fit is important. When looking for volunteer opportunities, consider your interests and passions. Do you like working in a team setting directly with the community? Or do you prefer to work behind the scenes? Do you have a set of skills that would benefit an organization/group?
If you need help finding an organization, cause, or project to volunteer with, please reach out to the Albert County Community Health Center. We would be happy to help connect you to the community!
