The Albert County Historical Society (ACHS) has been a volunteer lead and run organization since it was founded in 1951. The Albert County Museum (ACM) was opened in 1962, and with the help of countless volunteers who have assisted over many years, it has become one of the most popular heritage sites in the area, welcoming thousands of visitors every year.
Admissions and Gift Shop – ACM is open to the public on a seasonal basis. Help to make sure visitors are welcome, provided with information, and assisted with their tour and purchases.
Quilt Show and Sale – help with the planning of this annual event, now in its 49th year, and be a part of the set-up and running of the three day show & sale from July 10-13th.
Gardening and Lawn Care – help look after the beautiful property that is a special part of the ACM guest experience, and assist with flower beds full of heritage perennials.
Special Events and Food Services – Many special events are hosted by ACHS. Help make them each an event to remember through decor, hospitality, food and refreshments.
The schedule is flexible and only a few hours makes a big difference. A volunteer benefit includes free admission to ACM.
Our next volunteer event is on Saturday, May 3rd from 10am to 2pm for the Annual Spring Clean-Up Day as we get ready to open ACM for the season. A delicious lunch will be provided for all who assist!
