Wow! For one of those who isn't a winter and cold lover, the last couple days have been encouraging. Sitting feeling the warmth of the sun pouring in through the skylights and stepping outside seeing the snow melting along the edges of the driveway, starts me thinking about spring. It also reminds me that I have dozens of bottles of jams and jellies, pickles, bottled vegetables and bags of frozen fruit that need to be processed and used up in order to clear shelf and freezer space for upcoming goodies.
I came across a recipe for blueberry custard pie that looks amazing. If you are a custard lover, you could substitute whatever frozen fruit you have in the freezer and it would do the job nicely.
