If you are new to the community, the Fundy Curling Cub would like to extend a very warm welcome to you as you settle into Fundy Albert! The FCC, located at 16 Mill St. in Riverside-Albert, has been welcoming new folks to the region since it was established in 1962. Our club is 100% volunteer run and has members ranging in age from 6 to 80. The club is the perfect place to make new friends, both young and young at heart, while taking to the ice in a fun, relaxed and family friendly environment. We are looking forward to seeing many new faces at the club this year and hope yours in one of them!

While our ice makers were hard at work through the month of November to get the club ready for on ice action, our volunteer youth coaches were able to head into the Riverside School on November 25th and 26th for some off ice training with all the kids. This was our first chance to show off our indoor floor curling set which was generously donated by the Bennett and Albert County Healthcare Foundation. It was an excellent opportunity to showcase our Little Rocks program in our continuing partnership with the school. Coaches and youth alike had a great time and we look forward to seeing the kids again on December 12th and 13th when they come to the club and show us their stuff out on the ice.
The club would also like to extend an invitation to all youth in the area to come out and give the sport of curling a try on Sunday, December 15th. There will be two free “Introduction to Curling “sessions that day with children ages 6 to 12 on the ice from 9:30am to 11:30am and ages 13 to 18 from 12:30pm to 2:30pm. All curling equipment will be provided and pre-registration is required by emailing [email protected] or calling 506-882-1182.
The Adult Learn to curl program, originally scheduled for Dec. 2nd, 3rd and 4th, has been changed to the evenings of Dec. 9th, 10th and 11th from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. At the end of the program, you will have the skills and confidence to slide right into our adult leagues. The cost is $50.00 and if you decide to become a member of the club and play in the adult leagues, the $50.00 fee will be deducted from a regular adult membership. Pre-registration is required be emailing [email protected] or calling 506-882-1182.
Now that it is December, it is time to launch our 2025 “Wrap the Rink” sign campaign. For the low yearly price of $100.00 plus HST, you can have your sign promoting your business for all to see on the walls surrounding the Fundy Curling Club ice surface. Signs can be of any size up to a maximum of 4 feet by 8 feet which is by far the most popular at the club. You provide the sign and we provide the space and installation to get the word out about your business to our members, spectators and visiting curlers from other clubs! Your sign will also be featured in a post on our Facebook page. Last year, we had 18 fabulous Albert County businesses support the club through the sign campaign. We have space for a few more signs and we hope you will consider joining them this season and help us “Wrap the Rink” with great signs from awesome businesses like yours!
