Kicking things off we had eleven brand new curlers enrol in our Adult Learn to Curl program that took place over 3 evenings. I am sure they spent the holiday’s educating their family and friends on all the new curling terms they learned. Little did they know that hog line, hack, T line and out turn would be topics of conversation. Hopefully our fearless participants did not wear out their socks practising their slides in the living room. Thanks for taking part and we look forward to making you feel at home at the club as you enter league play in 2026!
Now that January has arrived everyone is excited as our regular league play is about to ramp up. Whether it is our mixed recreational evenings, ladies night or our competitive league there is something for everyone’s ability at a price that can’t be beat. If you are interested in joining any of our leagues or would like more information on the club please do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected].
At the time of writing the Ace of Spades was still in hiding at our Friday night Chase the Ace fundraiser. This is a great evening for community members to come out to mingle at the club and watch some of the curling games while waiting for the lucky ticket to be drawn. Be sure to check our Facebook page to see if the Ace is still in hiding as we head into January. Until next time, remember to always push and glide while keeping two hands on your broom!
