For the past several years, the Albert County Museum has been collaborating with the Hillsborough Public Library on several initiatives, including the annual Children’s Festival in August, and a program that led to all NB Public Libraries having free admission passes for card holders in July of 2025, which saw 242 people from across the province visit ACM at no cost. Many visitors were at the museum for the first time, and several who may not have the financial means were able to tour with their families, discover the rich history of Albert County, and learn about the legacy of Prime Minister R.B. Bennett.

Now we are pleased to announce that we are partnering again to have the Albert County Museum’s Mobile Exhibit on site at the Hillsborough Library during the month of January, 2026! During regular operating hours, you can visit and learn about the history of the Land, Sea and People of the area and enjoy 36 individual history lessons, as well as learn about the significant milestone of the region between 1845, when the county was established, to 2020, when the exhibit was built with the support of the Province of NB, Tourism Heritage and Culture.
You can choose to complete a “Heritage Hunt” activity by answering 12 questions, three questions per side of the four sided display, and by providing your email address you have the chance to win a special gift basket including items from the Gift Shop & Book Store, and a family season’s pass for 2026.

The Hillsborough Library is open Tuesday from 12pm to 7pm (closed between 4pm and 5pm) and Wednesday through Saturday from 10am to 5pm (closed between noon and 1pm). The address is 2849 Main Street in Hillsborough (located near the NB Railway Museum), and their phone number is 506-734-3722. NB Library cards are free of charge for people of all ages, and they have great resources and programs to support literacy and barrier-free education.
