Every year, students from around the world travel to New Brunswick to study, explore, and experience the beauty of life in Canada. By becoming a host family, you have the chance to share in that adventure and watch it unfold right in your own home.
For many international students, this is their very first taste of winter. Imagine the joy of seeing them build their first snowman, laugh while making snow angels, or discover the thrill of tobogganing, snowshoeing, or skiing. Everyday moments become extraordinary when seen through the eyes of someone experiencing them for the first time.
We believe there will be a group of students hoping for homes for second semester (Feb- June).
You’re never alone in this journey. Two dedicated local coordinators work closely with families to ensure the best possible match between your student and your household. They’re there to support you—to problem solve, answer questions, and provide guidance whenever needed. With their help, hosting feels less like a responsibility and more like a rewarding adventure.
What You Provide
- A welcoming home with a private room
- Nutritious meals
- A little help with transportation or carpooling
Your Support
In return, Atlantic Education International offers a generous monthly stipend to help cover expenses.
The Greatest Reward
While the stipend helps, the real gift is the connection. Hosting creates bonds that cross cultures and last a lifetime. You’ll gain a new perspective, share your traditions, and learn about the world—without ever leaving home.
Previous Experience from Host Family
"Last year, we had many from Brazil among other countries that applied to stay in New Brunswick and they were so excited to experience Canadian winter. We have so much to offer in our part of the province. I’ve been hosting for 8 years and have had 17 different high school students living with me. I truly love sharing our province with them and I’m invested in building up the program so more families and students have the positive experience I have had."
