While the summer months provide teachers and students the opportunity to relax and recover from the previous school year, they also allow time to plan for the school year ahead. Amidst the relaxation, Caledonia’s teachers have already begun preparing for the 2025-2026 school year. Whether it is by working through classes for a Masters program, fine-tuning lessons and experiences to be had within the classroom, or diving into new material and expanding their teachables, being a teacher never stops. The custodial staff have also been hard at work erasing the scuff marks in the halls and pencil lead on the desks to ensure that September brings a fresh start for each and every student. Beyond the classroom, steps have already begun to organize extracurricular events, such as our sports team and various clubs. To kick off September, we have opportunities for our students to participate in try-outs for the middle school and high school soccer teams, as well as becoming a member of our middle school or high school cross country teams! If you have any interest in volunteering as a coach or in any other regard, please contact Caledonia’s Athletic Director, Matthew MacBeth, at [email protected] to find out how you can help out.
The Class of 2026 Graduates will also be kicking things off quickly upon their return. To help fund grad fees, the graduates will once again be working at the Albert County Exhibition, serving meals in the dining room. Each year there are various needs to help make the meal a success. To help our graduates reach their goals and provide them with a senior year that they will remember, keep an eye out for more information in the September edition of Connecting Albert County.
Keeping up with Caledonia will be a monthly recap on successes made by our High School and Middle School students, a keep-the-date announcement for any upcoming events, a forum to share the needs of the students, as well as the school and how you, the community, can help. We believe students with a community behind them can do amazing things.
