Chillers from Albert County: The Phantom of Covered Bridge Lane
The quiet town of Albert County has always seemed like a serene haven—until the sun dips below the horizon. With each issue of Chillers from Albert County, readers will dive into spine-tingling tales inspired by local legends and eerie happenings.
The Phantom of Covered Bridge Lane
On the outskirts of town, the old covered bridge has stood for over a century, a relic of the past. Locals say the bridge has a ghostly guardian—a woman in white who appears to those who dare cross it after dark. When young Liam and his friends decide to test the legend for fun, they uncover a chilling secret about the bridge's past that threatens their very lives. What—or who—lurks in the shadows of Covered Bridge Lane? And will they escape the phantom’s icy grip?
Beyond writing, Monique runs a popular food blog, Gioia Eats, where she shares family-friendly meal plans. Her love for cooking was sparked by her determination to master the kitchen after marriage. Last summer, she collaborated with the Saint John Marina on a weekly margarita recipe series, adding a fun twist to her culinary repertoire.
When she’s not crafting stories or experimenting with new recipes, Monique enjoys spending time with her family and her beloved black lab, Sasha. She also loves unwinding with a glass of wine or coffee in the company of friends. Married for 17 years, Monique is a dedicated mother to two children, aged 15 and 13, and continues to inspire with her creative pursuits and community involvement.
