The idea of producing a new playground in Riverside-Albert was of interest to a few like-minded people in the Summer of 2018. By Fall of that same year, a small committee was formed in collaboration Consolidated with School Riverside (RCS). A
Facebook page was created to recruit additional committee members and receive public and community input and ideas. The children at RCS played a significant role in providing suggestions of what their vision of a playground would look like and what activities it would include.

Our Supporters
Since 2018, we have received donations through fundraisers, local businesses, residents, the public, and our main financial
supporter, the Atlantic Canada Opportunity Agency. We would like to say "Thank-you," for your past and current support
through this ongoing, heart of the community project!
Moving Forward
During our current, phrase three of the project, we continue to fundraise for shade trees, groundwork, a walking path,
lighting, brick laying, etc. To support this, we offer CHCO Charity TV Bingo every Tuesday night. Cards can be
purchased at Crooked Creek Convenience. We also have our 6th annual Lobster Plunge corning up on October 12th at
5:45pm in Alma. Come in costume, donate to challenge yourself or sponsor a brave soul to take the cool plunge! Cheering
crowds are welcome! Hot beverage and snacks are available by donation. For our Winter fundraiser, we are considering a
Christmas or New Year Dance. Stay tuned!
