For nearly 60 years, the New Brunswick Senior Citizens’ Federation (NBSCF) has worked to support seniors across the province — in small villages, rural communities, and towns just like those found throughout Albert County. As more New Brunswickers grow older, the work of speaking up for seniors has become more important than ever.
Many seniors want the same thing: to stay healthy, remain in their own homes as long as possible, stay connected to their communities, and have access to the services they need. At the same time, rural areas often face added challenges, such as longer travel distances, fewer services close to home, limited transportation, and social isolation. These are the realities the NBSCF brings forward when advocating on behalf of seniors.
The Federation will hold its 58th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at the Legends Room of the Moncton Coliseum. This annual meeting brings together representatives from over a hundred 50+ clubs and seniors’ groups from across New Brunswick. It is a chance to look back on the past year, plan for the future, and decide together what issues should be brought to government leaders. This year’s meeting will also include the election of a new Federation President.
