Behind the scenes, Connecting Albert County (CAC) has been undergoing a period of development and creation as we diligently work to serve our community. In rural communities, a theme of re-connecting with print media is emerging and CAC is experiencing that within rural Albert County as well. Renewed engagement with our print publication has resulted in a distribution rate increase, more advertising of local events, and contributions from community members, businesses, and organizations. In a time where connection is needed more than ever, we are proud to provide a service where we can act as a centre of idea sharing, building bridges through communication, and holding a space where individuals within our community (and from outside the community) can connect to our people, places, and organizations.
As CAC gradually repositions itself to provide additional support services, it has resulted in us seeing a trend for folks to desire opportunities for real-world, eye-to-eye meetings, visits, and information gathering. We are thrilled to announce that we will be opening an office location, thanks to partnership with The Gateway Market, and newly opened Bluemind Counselling & Consulting, at 2840 Main Street, Hillsborough.
CAC wants to be there to help you - community members, organizations, and businesses - to build relationships with one another, have a central location to share or inquire about community resources/various local information, advertise your events, or job opportunities.
Regular office hours will begin in October, from 9am to 12:30pm on Mondays and Fridays, with times in between by appointment or by chance.
You are invited to pop by and say hello October 24th any time between 9am and 5pm , in a joint "open house" with Bluemind Counselling & Consulting. Details to follow!
