Please note that remotely piloted aircraft or drone operations will be conducted in your area by Canada Future Metals. The goal of these operations is to collect, through scientific instruments the geophysical properties (conductive/resistive/magnetic) of sedimentary formations of the bedrock. This scientific tool (VLF EM- very low frequency electromagnetic) does not collect any photographic information, only a measurement of the natural VLF properties of rock drone and instruments.
Mission Date(s)
Operations are planned to occur from 1st October to 7th October. However, if weather conditions are not optimal for safe operations, the survey would commence after this date during October when it is safe to do so.
The drone geophysical survey will target two areas: 1) The northern survey area is proximal to Albert Mines Road with the survey to be undertaken over forested land to the east of Albert Mines road; & (2) North of Lower Cape and Main street over
forested land.
Operations comply with the federal Aeronautics Act, and operators possess the required accreditation and, when applicable, possess the liability insurance prescribed under the Canadian Aviation Regulations. Operators comply with all Transport Canada requirements, which includes maximum altitudes, minimum distances from people and property; and coordination with air traffic services as required. Operations are undertaken with a high regard for privacy (e.g., the drone is unable to capture photographic images) and public safety.
