The acquisition of the church provides Pointe Taken Dance with the opportunity to expand its programming, introduce more summer camps and classes, and offer more opportunities for dancers of all ages. As enrollment has grown, so has the need for a dedicated space that allows the studio to fully develop its vision for high-quality dance education in a welcoming, community-focused environment.
Pointe Taken Dance is committed to honouring the integrity and legacy the church has provided to the community throughout the years while thoughtfully beginning our next chapter. We extend sincere gratitude to the William Henry Steeves House, Albert County Museum, and Alma Rink, where our studio has had dance classes, summer camps, workshops, and performances. These partnerships provided an invaluable home during an important season of development, and the studio is deeply appreciative of the continued connection and support experienced there.
Registration for the current season remains open and will close on Sunday, March 15, as dancers begin preparations for the year-end performance. The recital will be held on Sunday, June 7 at the Riverview Arts Center and will celebrate the hard work, dedication, and growth of Pointe Taken’s dancers throughout the year.
This new chapter represents an exciting step forward for Pointe Taken Dance as it continues to grow its studio, strengthen community ties, and provide exceptional training in a supportive and inspiring environment.
