Entrance fee is a full bag of grocery items or a generous monetary donation with all proceeds to benefit the Shepody Food Bank.
Synopsis
A Fervent Pull is a locally produced documentary series that introduces three extraordinary Albert County residents whose unwavering commitment to a passion has defined their lives. Featuring tidal bore surfer Melvin Perez, Hillsborough’s artistic portrait photographer Danica Sherry, and long-time Dobson Trail volunteer Rodney Steeves, the series is testament to the fascinating people who often lay somewhat hidden as members of Canada’s lesser known communities; those from sleepy villages and tucked away towns. But from these underrated places often come the most intriguing people. And the greatest stories.
A Fervent Pull is directed and produced by filmmaker Colleen Furlotte and co-produced by musician/audio engineer John Maher. Riverview cameraman Wes Perry rounds out the tiny three person crew.

About the Filmmaker
Colleen Furlotte is an award-winning indie filmmaker who calls Riverview, New Brunswick home. Guided by her belief that honesty is the heart of impactful storytelling, she works ‘out-of-the-box’ using an unscripted organic approach to her documentary filmmaking. Colleen has been recognized by the Moncton YWCA as a Woman of Distinction for her contribution to arts and culture. She is currently working on her fourth television documentary series.

Fifteen years ago a new mother from a small village in New Brunswick picked up a camera. Working with natural light in a style reminiscent of a Vermeer painting, she began to lull us into another world. One where time stands still. Where history seeps in and the mundane bumps up against the unusual. Here everyday objects morph into dramatic costume accessories. Here children whisper and reality blurs. Here photography is poetry. Here quite simply - there is magic. Danica Sherry is an award-winning artistic portrait photographer whose signature creations have been exhibited internationally and featured in publications such as Vogue Italia.
