Hillsborough welcomes artisans and tourists to the village with the addition of six colourful buildings next to the Visitors Information Centre. Each building holds treasures from different vendors.
This is a truly local project with the buildings being constructed by Caledonia Regional High students….great job! Materials have been sourced locally where possible, as well as the onsite work of installing and painting.
The Council of the Village of Hillsborough would like to present 'An Artisan’s Village'. The Hillsborough Village Council members are excited to announce the plans for a location for local vendors in Hillsborough. There will be five colourful buildings available for rent, located on Steeves Street, overlooking the wetlands park.
This will be an ideal location for an artisan to set-up shop & display their wares to locals and tourists alike. The shops will be open 7 days a week, beginning July 1st to Labour Day weekend in September from 10 AM to 6 PM. In future years, buildings may open earlier in the season. The buildings provided will be a clear slate for you to set-up shop! Other than hydro, the rest is up to you. (tables, racking, etc.)
