Indeed, some folks are surprised to learn there are actually several kinds.
As fall arrives, insect activity does start to decline, but there is still plenty of nice stuff to see before the snow flies. In the world of dragonflies, the fall skies are largely dominated by varieties of big blue Darners and the smaller, little red and black Meadowhawks and a sprinkling of Emeralds.
