Shepody Food Bank would like to express its deepest appreciation and thanks to its community supporters who have stepped up to the plate during the Covid-19 pandemic. There are too many supporters to mention (coming from Alma to Hillsborough). Because of their generosity, the food bank has been able to help many individuals and families in need during these trying times.
Shepody Food Bank would also like to thank Hopewell Rocks, its long-time supporter, for its continuing generosity. We urge you to visit this iconic park and celebrate our community.
We are pleased to report that with additional support from the Federal Government, Food Banks Canada, the Honourable Frank McKenna, McCain Foods and J.D. Irving, Limited and Food Depot Alimentaire, we have been able to fill our food boxes with increased amounts of much-needed nutritious items such as meats, eggs, milk, cheese and fresh produce, in addition to the staples that we always provide. We are also taking part in the “After the Bell” program sponsored by Food Banks Canada. This program provides healthy, pre-packaged snacks for school-aged children who have no access to school- provided meals at this time. We encourage families in need to visit us and take advantage of this program. We are located at the Albert County Community Health Centre in Riverside-Albert and are open from 1pm-3pm every Wednesday.
