Jeff Keirstead, Principal of Riverside Consolidated School, received a donation of $3,000 from Order of Eastern Star, Winston Churchill Chapter #19, which was presented by Robert Keirstead, Worthy Patron of Winston Churchill Chapter.
The donation to the Riverside Consolidated School will be used for the needed upgrades to the site of the “outdoor classroom” on the school’s front lawn, which will include removing topsoil, levelling the ground and adding loads of gravel.
An “outdoor classroom” refers to a space outside the traditional classroom where learning can take place. Learning outside is not only beneficial to students' well-being, but it's a great way to stimulate enthusiasm for learning, fostering hands-on education and connection with nature.
