The Hiram Creek Trestle on Dawson Settlement Road was originally built in 1875 as part of the Albert County Railway. It was part of the line from Alma to Salisbury. This eventually became part of Canadian National. It has been repaired and rebuilt several times. In 1982 the line between Hillsborough and Baltimore was sold to a preservation group and became the Salem & Hillsborough Railroad.
