Join local author Deborah Carr for 8 weeks of Creative Writing instruction and practice at Forest Dale Home, starting Sept 26. This is the second time Forest Dale Home has offered this opportunity. A previous 8-week series ran in the spring. (Read about it here.)
You’ll learn practical methods to help you explore and write about your life experiences, but you’ll also practice fun and surprising techniques to break out of old habits, deepen and widen your writing, generate new uses for tired words, and transform the blah to the brilliant.
This series is designed to educate, inspire and motivate.
… I’m really enjoying it and the way it brings back memories from my childhood that I can leave for my grandchildren. It makes me think about things in a different way than I usually do.” Previous participant, Garda Clark
We’ll meet once a week for a 3-hour session that includes a variety of creative writing exercises, instruction, socializing, and a light nutritious lunch provided by dieticians and staff at Forest Dale Home.
You'll make new friends, have fun, enjoy a meal, and—best of all—learn that each one of us has a creative soul, and a fascinating story to tell.
Whether you’re a beginner or you’ve been writing for awhile, we all need inspiration on occasion. Participation is limited, so register early.
When: Tuesdays, 10am–1pm (Sep 26-Nov 14)
Where: Forest Dale Home, Riverside-Albert, NB
Transportation provided by Teledrive and/or Forest Dale Home if required
