With the temperatures dropping and snowflakes starting to fall, it is time to get ready for the upcoming 2024 curling season at the Fundy Curling Club! We are beyond excited to see the return of our Little Rocks Curling Program, the introduction of our brand new U18 Youth Curling Program, as well as our slate of adult curling leagues and bonspiels!
If you have children between the ages of 6 and 12 years of age and are looking for a fun and affordable activity for the winter season then look no further than our Little Rocks Curling Program. Participants learn the fundamentals of curling including; rock delivery, sweeping, teamwork and good sportsmanship in a game that can last a lifetime. Once started in Little Rocks your child will be slipping and sliding down the ice with a smile on their face as they learn a new sport and meet new friends as well. As an added bonus, they will probably practice their new curling vocabulary by yelling “Hurry Hard!” and “Sweep!” while you are trying to do housework. Our Little Rocks Program runs for 10 weeks on Sunday afternoons from 1:30pm to 3:00pm and starts on Sunday January 7th. All curling equipment is provided and the cost of the program is $50.00 including a season-ending party.

With a new season comes our brand new U18 Youth Curling Program for children aged 13 to 17. Our volunteer coaches are eager and excited to introduce this new venture at the club. No curling experience is necessary, as just like in Little Rocks, we will start off by teaching the fundamentals of the game including rock delivery, sweeping, teamwork and good sportsmanship to your older children. The program will then branch out to incorporate strategy and more complex shotmaking. By the end of the program your child will be making TV replay worthy shots and giving their coaches a run for their money in game situations! Our U18 Youth Program runs for 10 weeks on Sunday afternoons from 3:00pm to 4:30pm and starts on Sunday January 7th. All curling equipment is provided and the cost of the program is $50.00 including a season ending party.

Now that we have the kids taken care of and they are out on the ice having a great time learning a new sport and meeting new people, what about you? Never curled before or have not curled in a while? New to the area and want to have the chance to meet some folks and at the same time get some exercise out on the ice? The FCC offers a wide range of evening leagues to fit your schedule. Tuesday and Friday is mixed curling, Wednesday is ladies night and Thursday is men's night. We also put on three weekend bonspiels and a few special Saturday fun nights throughout the season. Membership rates are $165.00 for an individual and $300.00 for a couple. For more information on adult curling keep an eye on our facebook page!
