It was an honour for the Albert County Historical Society at the 2020 AGM to present a Lifetime Membership to Beulah Morrissey of Riverside-Albert in recognition of her passionate dedication in sharing the rich heritage of her community and of Albert County.
As a well-known and respected local historian, Beulah has contributed greatly to helping people of all ages gain a greater understanding and appreciation of the proud heritage of their community.
Beulah is forever organizing new creative projects to bring the community together. Last December, the new “Christmas Tree Village” event turned the Riverside-Albert Recreation Centre into a winter wonderland where community organizations had created amazing displays by decorating trees with different themes. The event was a special time for the community. Neighbours and friends gathered to chat over hot chocolate and gingerbread cookies, enjoying the magical room of glistening trees, while sharing past Christmas memories and heritage stories.
Beulah truly has a heart for heritage and her community.
Beulah, we thank you!
Dawne McLean is the President of the Albert County Historical Society.
