Albert County Historical Society’s 47th Annual Quilt Show and Sale

​The Albert County Historical Society will hold the 47th Annual Quilt Show and Sale July 11 to July 15, at the Albert County Museum from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

ADMISSION FEE: $3.00 at the door.

​This year’s display will feature over 200 quilted articles ranging from quilt tops, crib and lap quilts, finished quilted projects to full size quilts.

Our raffle quilt was donated by Marjorie Henwood, the Shepody Quilter. The Seasons Quilt is a beautiful applique quilt featuring a block for each month of the year. Tickets are available at the museum and will be available at the show. The raffle tickets are $2 each, or 3 for $5.

This year there will be a MAKER’S MARKET on Saturday, July 15 (9:30am–5:00pm). Outside spaces are available. The registration fee for each booth (approximately 10’ x 10’) is $20. Tables and tents are the responsibility of the vendor.

This year we are pleased to host three workshops for participants to learn a new skill, enhance your present skills or enjoy a day with friends. All workshops are beginner-friendly, but can also be personalized for your skills.

​Pre-registration is required; please pre-register with the Workshop Presenter.

​EMBROIDERY WORKSHOP
​Wednesday - July 12 (10 am - 3:30 pm)

Enjoy a trunk show featuring 3 generations of hand embroidery items, created by the ladies of Albert County. Learn the basics of outline embroidery from preparation to finishing using a variety of popular stitches while creating a linen and cotton blend tea towel. Your choice of design - house, pumpkins, snowman, bee skep!

NEEDLE FELTING WORKSHOP
​Thursday - July 13 (10 am - 3:30 pm)

Nesting In Nature. We will create with nature in mind using 100% wool and other nature provided materials. This design will honour your favorite outdoor spaces and use embellishments to celebrate your own personal creative story. It is fun for all and all for fun!

RUG HOOKING WORKSHOP
​Friday - July 14 (10:30 am - 5:00 pm)

Hook a beautiful custom “FESTIVE HOUSE”, using 100% wool. Gwen will be using the WOOLY Mason Jar warm palette for the Festive Houses, so if you want to make a custom colour, to match your house or someone else’s, just let her know!
