Last Tuesday seems so long ago... over the last week, many of us have been struggling for days without power.... without electrical power that is. There is strength and power in our community.
On behalf of Connecting Albert County, I would like to thank all the volunteers and staff who fed and welcomed people in warming centres; the friends and neighbours who helped each other by sharing generators, meals and the warmth of wood stoves; and the men and women who repaired the lines. There are still some people without electricity in our area... please continue to help.
We will address emergency preparation issues in future posts and issues.
Meanwhile, thanks to everyone who helped improve the situation for others.
