Albert County Winter Carnival: Pure Winter Magic!

The Albert County Winter Carnival will be held Saturday, February 17, 2018 in the centre of Hillsborough. The community event offers free admission and activities, and free treats (including hot chocolate, maple taffy, and coffee). The carnival will feature free horse-drawn wagon rides by Broadleaf Guest Ranch and live entertainment. The event is a cornucopia of indoor and outdoor activities.

Festivities include skating, snowshoe and cross-country ski races, and the outdoor shinny hockey classic, along with ice golf putting, geocaching and demonstrations by the Fundy Blades Skating Club. The Kiwanis and Visitor Information Centres will provide warm-up zones and washrooms.

Special issue: Early Childhood Development

Connecting Albert County has produced a special publication on opportunities for early childhood development in rural Albert County.
This special issue is provided in partnership with Education and Early Childhood Development - Government of New Brunswick - NB Literacy Strategy. As part of this project, families in rural Albert County can get free rides to all early literacy programs in the area from now until March 31st, 2018, with Tele-Drive Albert County!

Customers and consumers are increasingly demanding proof that the products they purchase have been grown, collected and handled safely, sustainably and ethically. Commercial customers now almost always require proof of a ‘sustainable supply chain’.

Proof of a credible quality control system throughout the process is vital.

If you are 55+, come join the “North of 55” group held every two weeks on Wednesday mornings
at 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. starting January 10, 2018. Bring a friend and/or neighbour to enjoy snacks, games, stories and much more in the Family Room at Hillsborough Baptist Church, 26 Braam Crescent, Hillsborough.
Feel free to drop in -- this community event is open to everyone in Albert County.
