The Albert County Winter Carnival has donated two limestone benches to the Village of Hillsborough. Winter Carnival founder Don Coleman says, “Thanks to all of our sponsors, these benches have created a special legacy for the citizens of Hillsborough.” Surplus donations from the Albert County Winter Carnival sponsors were used to purchase and engrave the benches, which are in Peace Park on Main Street. Two Hillsborough-area businesses, Brunswick Limestone and Maritime Monument Works, provided the benches and engraving.
Coleman expresses a very special thank you to past sponsors: Green Coast Energy, Cinnamon Soul Café, Down East Coffee, Tidewater Wellness Centre, Hillsborough Service Centre, Beechill Autobody, Fireside Home Heating, Hillsborough Golf Club, Omista Credit Union, Kent, Jeff MacDougall (South Eastern Mutual), Cooke’s Quik Mart, Albert County Hardware, Pro-Post, Leslie Tracy, Brunswick Limestone, Crooked Creek Convenience, Fresh Mart, Gary Steeves Insurance, CR Yardworks & Equipment, All-Weys Doors, Longhorn Transportation and Baxter Dairy.
