The twenty (20) chosen recipients will receive limited edition sesquicentennial pins. The pins, incorporating the original copper which covered the roof of Canada’s parliament buildings from 1918 to 1996, celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary of confederation. They are intended as a token of the Federal Government’s appreciation for leadership in the four pillars.
Those selected to receive a Community Leader Award will be invited to an award ceremony later in 2017.
Nominations can be submitted online at fundyroyal.ca. Paper nomination forms are available at the Hampton Constituency Office, located at 599 Main Street, Suite 104, Hampton. The deadline for nominations is August 31, 2017.
“We all contribute to the Canadian identity – one that is recognized and revered around the globe. As we celebrate Canada 150, I couldn’t be more pleased to have the opportunity to recognize constituents that help make their communities, and our country, the greatest in the world.”
- Alaina Lockhart, Member of Parliament for Fundy Royal
