The washout of the Stoney Creek culvert continues to have an impact on the people of Albert County -- causing delays, damage to cars and economic losses for certain businesses. Dan Tingley, an engineer with Wood Research and Development/Timber Restoration Services, who lives in Albert County, but works globally designing and installing timber bridges, offered to install a free wooden frame bridge as a temporary fix, but the province turned him down.
