It feels like it took forever for winter to actually get here. For some, that may be a good thing. However for others (like us!), we couldn’t be more excited to finally have snow on the ground, because it can only mean one thing: awesome winter activities! The best way to enjoy winter is to spend time outside skiing, snowshoeing, fat biking or sliding. We are very fortunate in Albert County to have many places where we can enjoy winter activities. One such place is Fundy National Park, where we will host winter events with some of our partners. Most events described below are free, but you will be required to buy an entry permit to Fundy National Park or pick up your season pass.
Family Day Sliding Party: On Monday, Feb.17th, the Friends of Fundy, Fundy National Park, Albert County Museum, Fundy Biosphere Reserve, Hopewell Rocks and Outdoor Elements team up to make an unforgettable day of outdoor fun! Drop into the Salt & Fir Centre at Fundy National Park from 11am-3pm for hot chocolate, coffee & treats. BYOM (bring your own mug) and learn about all the exciting things planned for the Fundy Region in 2020. Grab your toboggan and take a slide (or several) down the bowl then come back inside to hang out and warm up.
